A message brokering system delivers results to users based on their expressed interests. The execution model of this system is the following. Users subscribe to the system by specifying their information preferences. XML data items continuously arrive at the system from various data sources. The message broker filters the streaming data items against a potentially large set of user specifications, transforms the matching items into customized results, and finally delivers these results to the interested users.
